Workout Tracker by Kuromaku

Getting Started

Kuromaku Fit-Trak is a simple, private workout tracker. There's no account to create — just open the app and start recording your workouts.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I record a workout?

Tap on today's date in the calendar, then tap "Record Workout." Select exercises from the Strength Training, Cardio, and Stretching categories, check off your sets, and tap "Done" to save.

Can I edit a past workout?

You can edit workouts from today and yesterday. Tap the date and then tap "Edit Workout." For older dates, you can view the workout details but cannot modify them.

What do the calendar colors mean?

Days are color-coded by total exercise count: light gray (1–2 exercises), medium gray (3–5), dark gray (6–9), and Electric Gold (10+). Days with no exercises have no shading. This gives you an at-a-glance view of your workout consistency.

What is the monthly summary?

Below the water tracker you'll see a "Monthly Summary" card showing five stats for the displayed month: total workout days, strength exercise count, cardio exercise count, stretching exercise count, and total water glasses.

How does the water tracker work?

Below the calendar legend you'll see 8 cup icons. Tap them left to right to log glasses of water for the selected day. You can tap the last filled cup to remove it. Water tracking is available for today and yesterday. Each glass records a timestamp, and your daily totals are included in CSV exports.

How do I export my data?

Tap the "Export" tab at the bottom of the screen, then tap "Export CSV." You can save the file, share it via AirDrop, email it, or open it in any spreadsheet app.

Is my data backed up?

Your workout data is stored on your device. If you have iCloud backup enabled for your iPhone, it will be included in your device backup. You can also use the CSV export feature to create your own backups.

Does Kuromaku Fit-Trak collect my data?

No. Kuromaku Fit-Trak has no servers, no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking. All your data stays on your device. See our Privacy Policy for details.

How are the exercises organized?

The app includes 30 exercises across 3 categories (10 each): Strength Training (with weight tracking and 8 set checkboxes), Cardio (with minutes or set checkboxes), and Stretching (8 set checkboxes). You can rename any exercise to fit your routine.

Can I rename exercises?

Yes! Go to Settings → Manage Exercises. Tap the pencil icon next to any exercise to give it a custom name. You can reset names to defaults at any time.

How do I add notes to an exercise?

While recording a workout, tap the note icon next to any exercise. You can add a short note (up to 100 characters) — like "felt strong" or "increase weight next time." Notes appear when you view past workouts and are included in CSV exports.

What are the workout reminders?

Toggle "Daily Reminder" in Settings. The app sends up to 3 gentle reminders throughout the day (between 9 AM and 7 PM) on days you haven't worked out yet. Reminders automatically stop once you save a workout for the day.

What if I delete the app?

If you delete Kuromaku Fit-Trak, all workout data stored on your device will be permanently removed. We recommend exporting your data as a CSV file before deleting the app.
